It’s been a Busy Summer at Botanica International… new team members, a busy show schedule and a mega trip to the zoo!
To be honest we’re always busy here at Botanica, but this summer has been a particularly busy one for us! Thankfully our super team has, as always, stepped up to the mark to ensure customers are kept happy, orders are shipped promptly and that animals (and their humans) around the world get to enjoy the Botanica Benefit.
To help with our ever-increasing orders, we are very excited to announce that two new recruits have joined the team at Botanica – Lauren Ross and Aine McGivern.
Lauren will take on the new role as National Sales Manager for both the Republic of Ireland and the North of Ireland.
With a strong background in the animal health industry, Lauren is immensely knowledgeable and has the letters to prove it! Not only does she carry a BSc (Hons) in Bioveterinary Science, a Cert (Hons) in Equine Science, and a PgDip in Journalism, Lauren is currently studying towards an MSc in Livestock Health and Production with the Royal Veterinary College!
Lauren will be visiting veterinary practices and stockists around the country, providing product information and sales support. She will also be managing Instagram and will be the main point of contact for the Irish Market.
Lauren will be travelling around the entire island of Ireland in the Botanica branded pick-up, so watch out for her on the road!
If you would like her to call to your business, she can be contacted directly on 00447548228062 or lauren@botanica.ie.
Aine joins Holly at Botanica HQ in Warrenpoint, Co. Down. With a wealth of sales, accounts and customer service experience, we have no doubt that Aine will be a great asset to the company and she will be looking after accounts, orders and database updates – she’s quite the numbers-head! She recently enjoyed the Tullamore Show on the 11th August, helping to man the Botanica stand and will be an able addition to our show team when things get really busy. Aine will be one of the main points of contact for our Facebook page, providing you with extra customer care and she can be contacted at head office for orders and customer support.
We wish Aine and Lauren very happy and successful careers with Botanica!
Last month we also had the pleasure of welcoming German Intern Laura Jelkmann. Laura is studying Equine Business in the Netherlands and chose to do her 5-week International Internship with Botanica.
As Laura speaks German, Dutch and English, she proved invaluable to us and did a fantastic job translating our Botanica literature for the German Market. Laura accompanied Sean at many International shows, such as CHIO Aachen, where she was a great help informing our German customers about all the benefits of Botanica products in their native tongue. She was also part of the show staff at Hickstead and the Longines Global Champions Tour, London.
While travelling with us to shows, Laura got to visit Monde Sauvage Safari Park in Belgium, she got to meet some New Forest ponies, visited The Seven Sisters Cliff in Southern England and joined us on a recent staff day out to meet our largest customers – the elephants at Dublin Zoo! She also joined us again recently at the European Championships in Rotterdam.
While it’s all in a day’s work here at Botanica it does give you an insight into why we all love working at Botanica so much. We hope that Laura had a great time and learned lots from her Internship! If you are interested in an internship with Botanica, please contact enquiries@botanica.ie.
Botanica on Tour
Our ‘Tour Team’ travelled to a great many shows throughout the Summer, namely The Highland Show, Hickstead, Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe, Scottish Game Fair, The Royal Yorkshire Show CHIO Aachen, the Global Champions Tour in London, Clifden Show and the European Championships, so they were certainly kept busy and clocked up the miles. We love meeting customers old and new and catching up with the fantastic and talented competitors who we sponsor.
Welcome to our new Botanica brand ambassadors – Cooksborough Miniature Horses, Avery Maude, who is a JFEI dressage rider with Team GB, Caitlin Whyte – a BSJA showjumper, Breen Team’s Georgia Tame – an up and coming showjumper and Hannah Fleming – an SJI Showjumper.
As always, we had a fantastic response from existing customers at all of the shows. We always love to hear how Botanica has worked for our customers – your feedback is what makes it all worthwhile! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to visit our stands to tell us how our product has been helping you and your animals, we do appreciate it.
Getting Social!
You may have noticed that we are a lot more active on Instagram on Social Media lately, and this is thanks to Aine on Facebook and Lauren on Instagram/Twitter.
